NGB-W means the Next Generation Wireless Networks. NGB-W is based on the technical standards of the independent intellectual property rights as its core, its purpose is to achieve a cable, and the combination of the whole entire network of the next generation of wireless radio and television networks.It’s required to have strict synchronization and channel estimation technology because the NGB-W system is adopted by the OFDM technology. Synchronization needs to adjust the various signals in communication network to let them joint working.In addition, in order to make the receicer signal can be accurately restored, people take various measures to resist the influence of the multipath effect of the transmission signal,implementation will need to get the information of wireless channel, so we will need to estimate the channel parameters at the receiving end.Firstly, this paper introduces Maximum Likeliliood algorithm and Schmidl&Cox algorithm. On this basis, we put forward an algorithm that suitabie for our system because of the two algorithm’s disadvantages to improve synchronization’s performance, namely the combination of timing coarse synchronization and frequency fine synchronization. In addition, it introduces Least Square、Minimum Mean Square Error、Least Minimum Mean Square Error、WIENER these four channel estimation algorithm and linear interpolation algorithm. Because of the quantity of the pilot, so we choose the LS algorithm because of the small amount of calculation. Then by a linear interpolation of the pilot’s value for calculating the channel estimation value of valid data on the time and frequency domain.Secondly, it introduces the detailed FPGA design of synchronization and channel estimation based on the two modules’ algorithm. Then completed the sub-modules’ FPGA simulation according to the fixed design, and the timing simulation and functional simulation of each sub-module. Lastly, this paper realized the coarse synchronization on time domain, fine synchronization on frequency domain and the correct output of channel estimation value of the NGB-W system through simulation.
