As an important part of the radar system,The main functions of Radar display and control system are:1. Displaying the output data of radar data processing system; 2.Transferring control command of the radar operators, monitoring radar working status and switching the radar working modes. As the only interaction channel between the radar and radar operator, the efficiency and stability of radar display and control system have significant effects on the performance of radar system.With the rapid development of computer and electronic technology, general-purpose computer can be worked as the main hardware platform of radar display and control system. However, large amounts of data will cause high CPU load, leading to delayed response and suspended animation of the system, since graphics rendering is implemented by CPU in traditional radar display and control system based on general computers.The emergence of WPF technology(Windows Presentation Foundation, Windows graphical foundation) exactly solved the related issues of the traditional Radar display and control system, the Radar display and control system based on WPF technology has the characteristics of GPU hardware acceleration,low CPU load,real-time response message,Compatible with COM components and the strong development.In this paper,according to the ideas of software engineering,we design and achieved the Radar display and control system,the main works of this paper includes:(1) In this paper, we proposed a real-time large scale target displaying method which driven by data source, this method can effecttively improve the utilization of GPU and reduce CPU load under the framework of WPF. The proposed method provide a feasible solution to the respond delay problem which brought by the traditional Radar display and control system, especially when the monitoring target increased.(2) This paper also designed a weak geographic information system,we accomplished the task of supporting the geographic information for Radar display and control system using COM components, solved the problem of targets can not visually monitoring in traditional Radar display and control software.This components had a low coupling with the main components and improved the flexibility of the system subsequent development.(3) According to the requirements of high cohesion and low coupling of software engineering, By the the way of interface background separation and the packaged functional components,we designed and realized the Radar display and control subsystem, contained in the Rader display and control system,completed the functionality and performance testing of the subsystem.
