Requirement Management Of Graduate Student Information Management System Of INET Of Tsinghua University

Due to the particularity of graduate students’ management, Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology(INET) of Tsinghua University decide to build a new graduate students information management system(SIMS) of INET based on the existing SIMS of Tsinghua University. It’s well known that requirement management is a key issue of software project. And requirement management is good or bad, to a large extent determines whether the software can be development successfully. Considering this background, this paper focus on the requirement management of the SIMS-INET basing on practicing concepts and key technologies of software project requirement management.Firstly this thesis put identification of project stakeholders, the formation of requirement management software development team and select partners into requirement management process, which give full play to man’s initiative to the implementation of the project. This thesis completed the requirement specifications of SIMS-INET and putted it into practices. Requirement management of this thesis includes not only issues of conventional software requirements management, such as requirements gathering, analysis and determine the needs, requirements specification writing, etc., Many methods are combined to use in collecting software requirements process, such as experience of expertise, brainstorming, interviews, symposia. And the special features and management features of INET are full considered. Using of expert analysis and case studies, this thesis finished the documents of requirement software, which can be used as a benchmark tool for the software development.Then this paper completed the software development tracking and change control management of SIMS-INET. Several documents of requirements of tracking and change control management system are built. When any deviation are detected in the process of software development, the planned tracking and change control management then will be triggered, project stakeholders are collected together to analysis and get agreement of the change plan, finally the change plan will be putted into effect. During the development process of SIMS-INET, tracking and change control management scheme are triggered for one time, and achieved good results as expected, which verifying the effectivities of the tracking and change control management system.The SIMS-INET are finished under the requirement management mentioned above. Great benefit of saving working time, improving the accuracy and timeliness of students’ information are gotten after the system is put into use. A good sample is the sub-module of enrollment management system which is formally launched operation in September 2014. The graduate students’ enrollment activities of 2014 are successful based on this module, and ultimately implements the expected goals of the system, which proves the validity of the requirement management process of this thesis.
