The IT Platform Solution Project Risk Management

Project management is a mode of operation widely used by the information technology company. It takes the project team as a unit, to meet customer demands as the goal.It leverages the standardized management processes and systems, and also by using the resources and tools effectively to provide the necessary products or service for customer within predetermined time schedule. Risk management is a very important activity of the project management, which includes risk management planning, risk identification, risk assessment, risk response, risk monitoring and control of a series of interconnected content. Risk management goes throughout the entire process of project management, and has very close relation with other areas of knowledge.This paper first introduces the American Project Management Institute(PMI) project management theory system, the risk management process to do a deployment. According to the present situation and characteristics of the IT industry, the system integration enterprises with IT platform project will have more choices on how to reduce the project risk by the studying, and also we give examples to explain how to manage the IT platform solution project in risk management. Combining with a case the author has worked on, it illustrates how the risk management worked in the IT platform project, it also verifies the effectiveness of the “IPSPREM matrix“ in risk management of IT platform projects.
