At present, the main technology applied in the transferring bearing network technology of "safe city" are:GPON passive optical network technology, optical fiber connects technology and SDH/MSTP technology.Among them, GPON is a kind of passive optical access technology adopting point to multipoint topology structure, which consist of the board side of the OLT (Optical Line Terminal, the optical line terminal), the user side of the ONU (Optical Network Unit, optical network unit) and the ODN (Optical Distribution Network, optical distribution network). GPON has strong capability of service support, full service access. The GPON system can provide full services access capabilities including 64kbit/s business, E1 circuit service, ATM business, IP business and CATV. GPON is an ideal technology providing voice, data and video integrated access service. Moreover, GPON can provide wider bandwidth and farther distance covered. The GPON system can provide 2.488Gbit/s downlink and 1.244Gbit/s uplink. In addition, one OLT in the GPON system can support 64 ONU and support 20km transmission. As a "safe city" project carrying network technology, GPON has a notable advantage. With the further expansion of the safe city project, the importance of video monitoring is becoming more and more prominent. It has good practical significance to the study of "safe city" project based new GPON passive optical network technology. The main points investigated are as following:1. Investigating the characteristics and solutions of A/D monitoring system.2. Analyzing the scheme of safety monitoring systems of network load.3.Designing a safe city network monitoring system based on GPON technology.
