The Design And Implementation Of Video Surveillance Sub-System Of Safe City

Safe city is an important measure of the construction of theharmonious society, with the development of economy and theacceleration of urban construction, the population is so large in urbanareas that results in manage problems about transportation, social securityand so on. This dissertation aims at designing a sub-system of a videosurveillance of safe city. And it is focusing on the dynamic public securitycontrol of the whole society, using modern techniques such as computernetwork, image processing to organize the security system, trying toachieve all-round, full-time monitoring and increasing the quality of thecurrent security system significantly,.First of all, this paper explained the concept of safe city: safe city isa management system which is strongly integrated. This system does notonly meet the demands of security management, city management,transportation management and emergency, but also should have theability to do disaster warning, safety monitoring and so on.Secondly, a construction theme of video surveillance sub-system ofsafe city in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, was introduced to give a deeperexplanation of safe city, which was based on the analysis of theconstruction of safe city. All of these are benifit for safe city construct inHubei Province.Finally, this paper gives an introduction of the video surveillancesystem, and it proposes a method on how to design a video surveillancesystem. Taking Huangpi District, Wuhan, as an example, we also analyzethe operating conditions and achievement of the video surveillancesystem. Additionally, this paper proposed some suggestions on theconstruction of safe city in Wuhan, and gave a summarization andprospect of safe city.
