Wireless audio and video transmission plays a more and more important role in many areas, for instance, video surveillance, search and rescue work, video conferencing and emergency communications. Meanwhile, with the wireless computer networks being widely used, security of wireless network has become a topic of concern. How to implement a wireless audio and video transmission systems with good transmission bandwidth, low latency and high security has become a great concern for all parties. In this thesis, a wireless audio and video encryption transmission system was designed and implemented based on SOPC platform. The main works of this thesis are as follows:1. Given the wireless audio and video transmission systems, the thesis presents a strictly compliant AES IP with several optimized work for area efficiency and flexibility of the system, including:According to equivalent decryption algorithm, a highly efficient data path was given. An algorithm for optimization of SBOX’s circuit area through combinational logic is proposed. By factoring of MixColumn and InvMixColumn, a shared data path is designed. Achieve key generation module which can be configured and work on-the-fly is achieved according to key expansion algorithm. Finally, a flexible AES IP module was implemented which supports:(a) five encryption mode of ECB、CBC、CFB、OFB and CTR, (b) key width of 128,192 and 256bit, (c) Avalon bus based integration.2. Hardware modules was designed for TS (transport stream) packing module and unpacking module. Function of data filling was added for encryption error propagation caused by wireless data loss.3. A verification platform was established based on Cyclone V 5CEFA9F23C7 FPGA development board to verify the system of wireless audio and video transmission SOPC, wireless audio and video receiver SOPC. Experimental results show that the whole SOPC system can achieve a resolution of 640±480@ 25f/s, which meet the real-time target and the encryption requirement.
