With the comprehensive application of radar equipment, the application requirement of the frequency synthesizer applied to missile or airborne environment will be increased synchronously. Therefore, study on frequency synthesizer used in complex mechanical environment must be pushed forward quickly. It is important to improve the complex environment technology index of frequency synthesizer effectively to make it satisfy the development of national economy and meet the needs of national defense, which has certain strategic significance and economic significance. Hence, developing the miniaturized X-band low phase noise and high stray inhibition of microwave frequency source is the key work of microwave components design and development units.This thesis describes the design of a low phase noise and high spurious microwave frequency source and introduces the main performance indexes of the working principle, design method, key technology and test results and products. Based on the following two methods, the microwave frequency source designed in this thesis implements high stray and low phase noise:1. Design using mixing PLL not only solves the low phase noise in multi frequency point frequency source in the X-band of the requirements, but also generates X-band signal with low phase noise. For a single frequency point, it can be realized by direct frequency doubling or medium sampling PLL design technology. But for the variable frequency source and multi frequency point, it needs to be taken a direct frequency synthesis or PLL frequency synthesis technology. Considering the direct frequency synthesis method of spurious suppression is difficult to control, this thesis combines the PLL frequency synthesis and frequency mixing processing, namely mixing PLL design technology. Mixing PLL technology will be placed in the mixing process of phase locked loop, and PLL loop filter is used to remove the spurious mixing signal. The requirement of low phase noise is ensured by using a low phase noise original signal finally.2. Using the design with the technology of high spurious suppression, the multi frequency point frequency points generated by mixed frequency source in X-band consists with variable frequency source. In addition to the need to 9.6 GHz to 9.6 GHz signals, there are also many other types of frequency components, such as 100 MHZ, 100 MHZ and 9 GHz, and so on.Proved by the experiment, the method given in this thesis is flexibility, versatility, low cost and can obtains to good performance index.
