With the popularization of Mobile communication equipment such as Mobile phone, PC and Pad, people start to demand for communication equipment from the number to the pursuit of quality and experience. Ultra-high resolution, large size, full view of the display has been chased after by more and more people. AMOLED has its unique advantage. Both in efficiency, cost and light quality, AMOLED have congenital advantage, compared with LCD monitors. OLED device has many outstanding features such as low power consume dissipation, high visual angle, low cost and so on. However, domestic AMOLED drive display technology development fall behind, which restrict the promotion and application of OLED displays. Power management system as core module in driver chip directly controls the whole drive chip power, life, cost and output color brightness, thus determines the chip and the development of OLED displays.So to design a good system architecture of power management system is of great significance to drive chip.At first, this paper studies a kind of 480 RGB x 800 resolution of AMOLED panel display driver chip architecture. Then it designs power management system architecture combining with the drive chip demand for power index and completes the circuit simulation design with layout. Finally we get the result of simulation. This paper proposes a new scheme which combines the LDO, Charge Pump and OSC by analyzing several kinds of power management solutions, voltage requirements and applications of the driving chip. And then this paper puts forward and designs a new LDO with high transient response and a new type of relaxation oscillator with simple structure, low power consumption, which can be controlled by digital signal.The LDO circuit proposed in this paper has dynamic charge discharging branch and over temperature protection, which is better in transient response and higher precision in output voltage than old LDO. These are the emphasis and innovation points in the paper. The Relaxation oscillator circuit with 10 MHZ ~ 40 MHZ frequency range proposed has more simple circuit construct than the traditional relaxation oscillator and just one comparator. At the same time, it itself generates reference voltage without other circuit. Those points reduce the system power consumption, save area, and low the chip cost.The power management system proposed in this paper uses HL55 nm process. The circuits are completely designed and simulated and results which meet the needs of the driver chip to the power supply voltage prove to be right.
