We know equalizer is playing an very important role in all different kinds of new type of power components such as microwave communication, the launch of radar receiving and microwave millimeter wave power module.We know some passive components like filters, couplers, isolator, power splitters have a comprehensive theoretical research and calculation method, but equalizer is not. And every equalizer is need for equilibrium for the different device, So every equalizer is arbitrary. And that makes no mature theory to support the development of the equalizer. But with the development of all kinds of radio communication technology,we request equalizer has a better flatness, smaller size, smaller standing wave ratio, etc. Usually launch receiving module, a power amplifier, millimeter wave power module has a different degree of amplitude or phase is not smooth,needing power equalizer to improve.According to trap comprehensive theoretical analysis,this paper focuses on cavity and in the form of microstrip equalizer, and puts forward a new kind of millimeter wave cavity trap structure. This kind of trap structure have big equilibrium quantity in millimeter wave band. We use this kind of trap structure designed equalizer. The advantages of this structure is simple and convenient to structure and assemble, and the standing wave is small, large capacity of power, and the adjustment of the higher degree of freedom.This paper first summarize the general theory of power equalizer research method.The general methods include darlington network synthesis, solid frequency according to the hair and the prototype circuit method, etc. And this paper studies computer optimization method. Then we based on the theory of trap and coupling waveguide transmission, design a basic trap structure model can realize the balance of millimeter wave frequency requirements. Then using the computer software strong optimization ability of optimization design, to meet the task requirements.In this paper, we analyze the different forms of basic equalizer structure model,including different structure of microstrip, coaxial, and waveguide. Microstrip form is the basic resistance load using microstrip resonators side as the basic unit of the equalizer. And the microstrip side is a new kind of structure, the step impedance resonance unit has reflected the standing wave is small, high precision, etc. Cavityequalizer include coaxial and waveguide. Trap structure of waveguide filter including aperture coupling and probe coupling modes. By adjusting the size of the cavity, the size of the hole, the probe from the main transmission distance, and the location of the absorbing material placed to adjust the size of the resonance frequency and measure how much. Based on trap and the waveguide coupling transmission theory, we design a new type of trap equalizer structure, the structure are measured large power capacity,and adjustable, simple structure, convenient processing and manufacturing precision.We use microwave software design of narrow-band 30.5~31.3 GHz waveguide cavity equalizer, and need to be balanced device even after the adjustment, by adjusting screws can achieve the flatness of 0.2dB, to reach the expected aim.
