With the rapid development of Chinese catering industry, the management is more and more complicated, so the use of computer is currently the development of China’s catering industry direction to manage the entire restaurant work. By creating the system management and a la carte restaurant together, can effectively improve the service level of China’s catering industry. The problems are not timely ordering system now, can’t satisfy the demand of the.The design of restaurant management information system is usually divided into two stages. The first part is the concept planning, data flow diagrams are used to predict possible functions of the whole system. And the reasonable implementation is the design of software architecture, that is, the system function module. The specific work is to make sure the components of the whole system, and determine the correlation between each part of the module. Through a series of other elements boundary elements restricting the adjacent, and the total mark to reflect, it is a primitive procedure. At the same time module can hold the whole program is divided into several independent naming of parts, but also realize independent access, each part has its own function, all the functions in all function together is the system, the design requirements to achieve the system, comply with the requirements of customers.The main work of this thesis is shown as follows:(1) Research status of restaurant management information system is discussed. The significance of this thesis is analyzed.(2) Basic theories and software employed in this thesis are introduced. The framework of restaurant management information system is established.(3) The demands analysis and general design are executed. Then the functions of menu management subsystem, the kitchen subsystem, the examining subsystem and wireless order subsystem are designed.(4) Several use cases are designed in detail. And related software codes are composed according to design philosophy of software engineering.
