Although the hotels industry competition becomes more intense, thetraditional manual management can not meet the development of society, for theintroduction of computer and Internet technology, greatly improving the managementefficiency, and also reduce operating costs and resources.Currently most small hotel management system are based on C/S architecture, butthis kind Hotel Management System are not convenient for people’s using. Therefore, itis necessary to design a system based on B/S structure. By studying the small hotelmanagement system at home and abroad, we select the B/S architecture, the JSP, theservlet technology and HTMl language, and we choose the most classic mysql5.1asour data base and its based language is SQL.The main users of the system are customers, the ordinary attendants as well as themanagers of hotel. Clients can query information, booking rooms, inquiry billing fromthe system. The purpose of ordinary staff is serving for customers as they need, such asexchange rooms, check-in, checkout, query and so on. From the point of theadministrator, the hotel management system is more useful, such as manage staff, roomand customers’ source, data query, earnings queries, decision support and so on.During the design of the system we choose the most usefully key technologies,select the most useful database, and analyze and design system every modules of thesystem. Each part of the system is explained by diagrams or picture, at last we show thesystem’s critical modules design and checkout that they are working well.According tothe feedback and in order to meet the various hotels of basic needs,the use of the systemcan completevariious kinds of information queries about guests such as guesthouse,hotel rooms and hotel management.The design and realization of hotelmanagement information system proposed in the paper has already been applied inXinRu Hotel, and achieved a fairly good appraise.
