Chen Di was a well-known private book collector of Ming Dynasty in Fujian province; he had Shi Shan Tang Building and collected more than 300,000 books, written famous works such as The Bibliography of Shi Shan Tang. Except that he collected books, made bibliography, wrote works, he made friends with other soul book collectors. By contacting with friends, books was spreading in a certain area, the books were used than before. Based on Chen Di’s life, his written books, his poems and his bibliography, we researched Chen Di’s collection activities from making friends activities in this paper. He made friends of all kinds of people during his life. He positively collected, copied, wrote introductions and published books etc collection activities with his friends. His friends such as Jiao Hong were totally other province people, so he made friends actively with other persons. The aim of researching Chen Di’s contacting methods is that contacting friends activities influence collection books activities, which improve books qualities, accelerate the amount of his collection books, circulate books and rich the activities of book collection etc. Meanwhile, Chen Di’s book contacted activities has proved that Fujian province book collectors has paid attention to the spread of books, using books to write, though the mainstream of book collection activities is put books on the shelf as personal property such as Fan Qin in Ming Dynasty.
