Along with society’s progress, informationization level has been enhanced unceasingly. Today’s computer network has profoundly changed people’s lives. People can’t live without network any more. Many things need the support of computer network, such as the network shopping, the network finance and so on. The role which computer information technology and network technology plays in fire control work is becoming more and more significant. Fire-fighting equipment is the most important assets. In recent years, our country adds more sets of fire equipment to the fire brigade in Mianyang. So it is very necessary to build a information management system of fire-fighting equipment. The construction of information in the field of fire control work has become a very urgent task.This system is to build a information management system based on B/S architecture. And it is satisfied the requirement for effective management. First of all, this system can supply the management of the users. And it can give different permissions to different users based on the role of the users. It is the basic function of the system to formulate the roles of users. Besides, this system also can apply some specific functions, for instance, the management of the category, the information, the storage and the personnel scheduling. And the system operation must be simple and practical. And the system needs to run stably. The development tool of this system is c # which is a language of higher efficiency. In the data management, this system has utilized SQL Server 2008. The use of these tools keeps a fully guarantee of efficiency of the development and running stability of the system.This system has introduced details of the needs analysis, general design, detailed design, programming, implementation and system testing. The development of this system has used the standard software development process. At the same time, it has produced the corresponding documents. During the design process the UML modeling technology has been used. The system has carried on a comprehensive analysis and normalization.After the testing of the interface, functions and performance, this system has been further found problems. Then rectification opinions based on these problems have been put forward. This make the system run more steadily and reliably. In the end of the paper, it is summary and prospect and proposes the expectation to upgrade the system to the next step.
