The Development Of Application Module Of Municipal Reception Management System

In recent years, with the development of computer technology and communication technology, especially the rapid development of Internet, the information management has penetrated into all walks of life, which is an important way to improve the work efficiency. With the development of the mid-west cities, more and more domestic and international exchanges take place in Chengdu, therefore the reception workloads at all levels increase. The original manual recording, or the simple document processing also cannot keep up the pace or be up to the quality requirements. In order to increase the work efficiency, standardize the reception process and improve the work quality of the Reception Office, the reception management system has been put on the agenda. It will provide the meticulous arrangements and services from the basic necessities of life for guest reception, cadre reception at all levels, meeting, banquet and many important investment activities.The Reception Management System has been developed in this thesis based on project management theories and the system development technologies. At the same time, we also associate with the actual demand of the reception management of Reception Office, and study the business process of the reception management according to the workflow idea. The system includes several modules, such as the personal office, reception submission, reception plan, guest information, card management, data sharing, receiving report, meeting management, vehicle management, material management and personal information. It can realize the effective control of time, cost and objectives, and at the same time it also can promote communication and cooperation between different departments of the Reception Office, which will be not limited by time or location.This thesis describes in detail the development process of the interrelated modules of the Reception Management System. The system adopts the B/S(Browser/Server) structure based on Web, and is developed by using JAVA and J2 EEt. The Browser is developed by using Ajax, HTML, Java Script and XML, and the online editing of Office is adopted to realize the document online processing. On the server, the MVC development framework is adopted, and it is realized by utilizing the ORM technologies such as JSP, Servlet, Java Bean, Spring, Ibatis and so on. The adopteddatabase is My SQL, and DHCP connection pool is used for the dynamic management of the database connectivity. The system has the characteristics of being fast in running, easy to use, safe and reliable, easy to expand.The system has been officially put into use after it was completed. From the feedback given by the related personnel of the Reception Office, the efficiency has been greatly improved. The system can optimize or customize the existing process during the implementing process, so as to improve work efficiency, and reduce the loss caused by the human factors. It plays a certain role in improving the managing efficiency of the Reception Office and establishing a good image of the City Council, which means the design goal has been achieved. The system is expandable, and also can achieve docking with the work of other government departments. It also has some reference value for the reception management of other cities.
