The Application Of SharePoint Workflow Technology During The Informatization Process Of Enterprise

Along with the development and application of information technology, enterprises realize the way of transaction by papers is not effective enough to match the step of the business extended, as it has been a ball and chain to the progress of them. So they begin to utilize IT into their business to do informatization in order to improve their competitive power.After the appearance of kinds of IT systems, the work efficiency in office has been much increased. However, when the business is extended and the workers become more and more, and the resource is very disperse, to find something or somebody in intranet is not an easy thing. So we need a kind of navigation tool like 'resource yellow page' to help us assemble and sort out all the information and services, or in another word, improve the technique of search to make it easier.The workflow technology has been utilized by enterprises widely, as it really help them do informatization much efficiently. Workflow technology originates from manufacturing and office automation. The concept of workflow is to make each of things we do usually a flow, and make the process computerization and automatization. After more than a decade, the workflow technology has got great progress and it has been used in many cases successfully. This thesis has introduced the concept, all the components of workflow, and its function, characters, the sorts of workflow products, the research hot-spot and the development trend in future. And then, I have discussed the workflow platform: Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. It's the server platform program of Microsoft used for EIP (Enterprise Information Portal). Because it can provide kinds of powerful function and advantage for IT workers and I have take part in the item of implement of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 in a company, this thesis will take it as the platform of workflow.After analyzing the existing system and worker's requirement, the thesis promote a solution for enterprise information portal based on Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. In all of the modules, only the workflow module need to be coded. After the architecture designing for the module, the thesis develops the workflow using Visual Studio 2005 based on SharePoint workflow foundation. At the end, the system works well for the enterprise.
