As a subsystem in the whole digital TV industrial chain, digital TV conditional access systems(CAS) has played an important role in the commercialization operation of digital TV. With the whole translation process of digital TV, the increasing user requirements for digital audio and the continuous growth of digital TV industry, digital TV conditional access system also needs to constantly adapt to market demands, adjust and improve itself to meet the market needs.Therefore, in order to be in line with the development of the broadcasting industry demands, it is necessary to develop a safer, lower cost no-card conditional access system based on the existing CAS basis.Nowadays, as a supplement to existing card access system, no-card conditional access systems can reduce costs and contribute innovative ideas based on its own advantages. They can work together to accelerate the development of conditional access system products.This design no card conditional access system relies conditional access system’s system framework, redesigned the related security policies. The design combines STB software systems and distribution systems, the formation of independent intellectual property rights of non-card conditional access system overall solution.The main contents of this article include:1, Describes the set-top box platform to run no card conditional access system, the main function module set-top boxes to be used;2, No card CA system security design;3, Specific methods to replace the smart card;4, No card conditional access system functional testing and the system functions implementedWith this design no card conditional access system has been completed, to achieve a hierarchical modular design, each layer has a modular design, the complex features subdivided into different layers and modules for the stability of the system has laid a solid foundation, the modular design also provides guarantees for system upgrades. Use server system, and CAS systems combine to achieve the program searching, the program automatically updates, the program sorting, set-top box software online upgrade, ad images upgrades, volume compensation and other relatively complex functions., to achieve precise control of the server to the user, operators can use the most convenient way to manage the system, simplify user operation.
