To reduce noise interference on signals in the channel and to improve the reliability of communication system, channel coding is an important technical means. Especially in the increasingly complex electromagnetic environment, in addition to conventional additive white Gaussian noise, burst noise make channel environment even worse.Therefore, the study of channel coding technology in burst channels is increasingly becoming one of the hot field of communications.In this paper, regarded short coding in burst channels as research background, we compare performances of different short code encoding algorithm in burst channel and AWGN channel, the subjects are RS code with a strong error correction capability and LDPC codes being close to the Shannon limit. By analyzing the encoding and decoding algorithm principle, an improved LDPC codes algorithm is supposed. And it has a relatively good performance in burst channels.The main work of this paper includes the following aspects:Firstly, the paper study the RS code encoding and decoding algorithm with strong error correction ability, simulate performances of RS short codes in AWGN and burst channels by building a system simulation platform, and analyze anti-burst error ability.Then, in the LDPC linear coding algorithm, we study the class triangulation problem under check matrix, analyze the drawbacks of Greedy_A algorithm solving this problem, and propose a new algorithm for the class of parity lower triangular matrices.The new algorithm is up for the lack of the existed Greedy_A algorithms, and the performances and stability are superior to Greedy algorithms.Finally, this paper describes an anti-burst noise Tanner graph design methods in order to construct LDPC codes with anti-burst noise immunity, and describes the PEG algorithm principle to construct large girth LDPC code. Combining with the characteristics of two algorithms, based on PEG algorithm, we propose a LDPC codes constructed way with large girth and anti-burst noise characteristics, simulate its system,and analyze its mechanism and the causes of gap between theory and simulation results.
