Satellite communication network will become an iportant part of global information network of the next generation.More importantly, new satellite communication system what we called wide-band multimedia satellite communication system,which mainly based on on-board processing and on-board switching is the main research direction.One of the key technologies of wide-band multimedia satellite communication system is wide-band variable rate modulation and demodulation. And one of the key links of the technology is channel coding and decoding technology.The purpose of channel coding and decoding is to improve the quality of data transmission.Paper based on civil subject named "wide-band variable rate modulator and demodulator" gave a research on its implementation of channel coding and decoding technology:RS+CC coding and decoding technology and LDPC coding and decoding technology.Paper have presents a method which based on a single high-speed encoder/decoder to process multi-path low-speed burst and non-coherent user data flow, then we gave the implementation of the coder/decoder based on FPGA.Paper also have a deep research for the two kinds of LDPC codes in relay satellite systemand proposed a new partial parallel NMS-TDMP algorithm which has fast decoding speed, low complexity and high parallelism.And the algorithm proposed is suitable for relay satellite system.
