The famous automobile manufacturers pay t heir attention to automobile se rvice to make up thei r profits becaus e the automobile manufacturing has been decline.M oreover, mana gement informa tization in automobile service industry has bee n already ca rried out in the de veloped c ountry.The market of automobile in China has grown up the bi ggest tradi ng in the world in recent decade as China has become the biggest automobi le manufa cture, and the automobile service also ha s grown rapidly following by enormous profits. However, it’s s til l a developing industry characterized by the manageme nt software falling behind the partners in developed country, a nd l acki ng of skilled person in i nformation fi eld, which results in the low quality of ser vice and di sorder ly competition. I n order t o be a mature industry of a utomobile service as the developed c ountry, a meaning wa ys is to optimize the work flow in enterprise to enhance the s tandar d in management informatization,under the condition that the hardware i s not e asily improved qui ckly.In this project, we develop a software of Management Information Syst em(MIS) for automobile se r vice enterpr ise to opt imize the work fl ow, confi gur e the resource, a nd raise the effic iency. The MIS adapts the C# as the programming language, and SQL Server 2005 as t he DBMS and uses ADO.NET to encapsulate data. The MI S c an manage t he automobil e service enterpri se at the informa tion flow, and enhance the effi ciency of enterprise operation. The project is focuse d on t he business requirements in aut omobile ser vice industry, and guided by soft war e engineering in software deve lopment. We conduct requirement analysis, desi gn, implementa tion, and software test to develop t he MIS, in whic h we take t he Se r vice Management Module as the exa mple to illustrate the process of our development. We design the MIS as several functional modules based on the a nalysis of business flow, and conduc t functi onal requir ement analysis. Besi des t hese, we define the reliabilit y, flexibility, efficiency,maintainability, and portabilit y of the MI S. Based on thes e, we illustrate t he details design of the MIS taking the Service Management M odule as an exapml e by designing the sequence c hart and procedur e flow. We carry out the softwa re test on the system and the test result s show that the MIS can meet the requirement of the pr oject.
