In recent years, with the rapid development of computer technology and communication technology, the importance of information work in the daily production work is increasing; computer room and communications room become powerhouse business units. In recent years with the increase of extreme high temperature weather, a lot of Power Group’s computer rooms’ temperature is too high, causing damage of equipment, system downtime, loss of data, causing the loss of property and social effect to the enterprises.At present some important computer rooms of the Power Group have staff on duty, but still can’t find air-conditioning failure in time. Therefore this paper designs and develops a computer room temperature monitoring alarm system, establishes a common short message service platform by means of the micro controller, network communication and SMS technology. The computer room temperature monitoring alarm system can monitor the computer rooms’ temperature of the Power Group and its subordinate units all the time; it also provides the service of query on duty, the duty to remind by SMS. This software provides a strong guarantee for the safe operation of the equipment room. The main contents include:1. Research on the use of new integrated digital temperature sensor measures the ambient temperature and the use of HID class interface for data transfer with USB peripherals methods. By using a new type of temperature sensor can simplify the hardware circuit design, reduces the development cycle, thereby reducing the temperature acquisition terminal equipment development and manufacturing cost. At the same time, because of the communication between application program and USB peripheral device class is based on the HID interface, which reduces the dependencies among device firmware, windows driver program and Win32 applications, improve the efficiency of program development and debugging.2. Research the "Power Group’s Universal SMS platform" construction method. Construction of the SMS platform using GSM Modem is a low-cost, convenient and flexible way, very suitable for small and medium enterprises. This paper describes the design of SMS platform’s database objects, object class, processing interface and plug-ins, etc.3. Describes the overall design of the system, the detailed design of the system and system implementation, focusing on the "Temperature data reception", "Room temperature alarm", "Room duty to remind" services and the WEB program design and development.
