With the development of social and economic faster and faster,the urban public transport inquiry system. as a part of the city public information service platform,which is to establish not only the information for the general public to provide information needed to travel, but also for the city to ease traffic pressure and reduce pollution in the urban environment has important significance. Over the years, due to the increasingly powerful computer programming technology and Internet technology,not only abroad, and our country’s major cities are released on the Internet to build queries rban public transport inquiry system. Because the system is constantly issuing queries to provide people with a variety of public transportation and use of the information is valid. However, due to the ability and technology development limited to those public inquiry system, there are some basic issues large and small.According to the above problem, this thesis combined with the characteristics of bus data, developed based on B/S three layer structure of urban public transport inquiry system. The system using WebGIS technology, organization and management of spatial data in SQL Server data Server, with embedded browser Sliverlight as the client interface, using. NET technology not only decrease the difficulty of the development of the system is also conducive to the operation of the customer. At the bus query system design and implementation, mainly do the following. In the urban public transport inquiry system.design and implementation of this thesis,complete the following major work:1.Based on the current map Guilin legend mode, bus stops and routes, route maps, city landmarks and other landmarks of data characteristics, Guilin bus stops and routes, route maps, city landmarks such as unified data classification is calculated;2. To improve the n transfer algorithm of public traffic’s point algorithm, I introduce the close station and train schedules, and to improve the practical and the query efficiency of Public transport route inquiring System;3.Using SliverlightWCF,.NET, technology etc. to achieved the query efficiency of Public transport route inquiring System. From all the server is running, part to part in the server is running and run the client, easing the burden on the network, improve the efficiency of the query;4.Realized using SQL Server for the integration of attribute data and spatial data storage;5.Text display not only realizes the query results, and realize the text and electronic map at the same time, according to make the system more intuitive, more convenient the user’s query.The urban traffic situation through functional and performance testing, fully meet the actual needs of the modern transit passenger information system, the system queries simple, fast, user-friendly, easy to maintain stable operation. The system can be used as an independent public inquiry Web site, used in Guilin Bus query, but also as a software tool for artificial queries, improve the efficiency and accuracy of artificial queries.
