Study Of College Library’s Scientific Data Curation Model

As the rapid development of computer network and information technology, whether the scientific research’s process or methods have already changed,and the scientific research data show the tendency of exponential growth.Modern scientific research is involved with all kinds of types, levels and roles of researchers who use and create knowledge cooperatively,and it turns to a multidisciplinary, cross major and large-scale collaborative researches gradually. College library is an academic institution,which serves for teaching and scientific research.There is no doubt that you can’t separate science from the scientific data, it is more and more necessary to have an effective data curation as the scientific data are becoming multidisciplinary, variety and volume.In the environment of flush data currently, the study of data curation has gradually become one of the highlights in library science,and the continuous dynamic management activities not only can make the management to the scientific data more perfect,but also can improve the quality of scientific research and promote the use and sharing of scientific data,and have short term benefits and long term value.College library plays a very important and irreplaceable role in data curation, for it has different forms which can service for data curation.Other countries have a lot of experiences about data curation’s applications,which have an important reference and enlightenment to us,and we can take this as an opportunity to carry out data curation,and then we can base on our actual situation to make data curation localization.This paper mainly studies about building the model of data curation. First of all,it summarizes the progress on the research of data curation.Secondly, this paper analyzes the relevant basic theories about data curation, expounds that data curation is an important strategy to college library in digital age,and defines the related contents about data curation.Thirdly, This paper analyzes the feasibility of constructing data curation model,then builds a basic framework of data curation,which includes data module, technical module and service module.At last, this paper has a summary and outlook about data curation.The paper considers that data curation can bring a great opportunity and challenge to college library’s reform,data curation will become the key of college library,and at the same time,college library also can fully realize their own value through this service.
