Investigation And Study On The Establishment Of Data Curation Positions In University Libraries

With the development of Internet technology and the continuous advancement of information technology,the methods and methods of scientific research have changed,and the research on scientific research data has also gradually increased.The large number of scientific data,interdisciplinary and diverse forms of expression make the management of scientific data a new opportunity for library development,and the urgent need for effective data monitoring is urgent.An important aspect of data curation in China is that the job setting is merely summarizing the experiences of foreign countries and there are few documents formed.There is no specific survey result on the status of domestic data curation posts.In order to better satisfy the data needs of scientific research users,the research on the establishment of data curation posts in colleges and universities is very necessary.The first chapter briefly describes the research background and significance,responds to the management of "big data" in the e-Science environment,and sets up data curation posts for foreign university libraries.It outlines the significance of the related theories and practices of data curation posts and the current The research status at home and abroad was reviewed and the innovation of this paper was put forward to lay the foundation for the full text.The second chapter summarizes the related concepts,defines the concept of data curation and its connotation,summarizes the core elements of the data life cycle model in foreign countries,and proposes a post analysis method based on the life cycle process based on the data life cycle process.It provides a theoretical basis for the later study.The third chapter is the investigation of the status of foreign and domestic data curation posts.Firstly,it analyzes the status of job placement and occupational skills of foreign recruitment websites(ALA Joblist,Code4lijobs)from January 2015 to January 2018.Secondly,the survey on the status of data curation positions in domestic university libraries was conducted through questionnaires or interviews.Afterwards,the problems found in our country's university libraries were compared:(1)There were few establishments of data curation posts in domestic universities;(2)Domestic data curation services started late and they developed slowly;(3)There was no effective data curation mechanism.The last chapter puts forward suggestions for the actual situation of data curation positions in China:(1)Three-step principle for library data curation posts and post design framework for library roles;(2)Focus on the top-down organizational form and realize Strong leadership support;(3)Improvement of library data curation job guidelines;(4)Comprehensive integration of resources to form synergies to strengthen inter-school and inter-school cooperation;(5)Strengthening of library data curation and personnel training and data Librarian training.Data curation brings opportunities and challenges for the reform of library services in China.In the future,data management and services will become the focus of library work.Through this service,university libraries will make their own values realizable.
