In China, after news websites, BBS and blogs, Weibo has become a main platfor m where public opinions are being voiced. Weibo has influenced all aspects of social life extensively, judicial activities also included. Based on the spread of the Li Tianyi case on Weibo, this dissertation summarizes the process of Weibo and judicial activities and analyzes ways in which Weibo influences judicial activities——Interference with public judgment, tagging both parties, changes with discourse status of both parties, and the creation of new mimicry judicial environment by implying certain judicial environment, which result in significant changes in judicial environment, amplification of public opinions, new challenges face up by judicial departments and the environmental trend of the mimicry environment. Institutionally, the influence results from the public lag of judicial information; technologically, the high speed of. Weibo spread and sharing. To go by subject, it stems from the improvement of rights consciousness of Weibo users and the lack of legal accomplishment and media literacy; the object reason is that judicial departments have internal problems. At the end of this dissertation, the author puts forward four suggestion concerning the existing problems: to accelerate judicial information publication, to promote law education and media literacy, to enhance judicial independence of judicial personnel and departments and to boost judicial authority.
