Research On Application Of IRP For Casting Industry

The casting industry is the important ingredient of the entity economy, simultaneously, it is also the important basis of manufacturing industry, and it has been called "the mother of industry". However, there is big disparity, compared with the developed country, casting quality, when it comes to the production efficiency, industrial structure as well as environmental protection. It is an impotent topic to make our country develop from a big casting country to a powerful casting country. This paper takes informationization developmental strategy, based on the information engineering methodology, establishes standardized information platform for the enterprise, to optimized enterprise industrial structure and raise the enterprise effectiveness of operation as well as the quality of the product.This paper based on the IRP project for a mainstream casting enterprise. Using the theory of IRP, take the production management as a master line, established the business model, the data model, the function model and the architecture model for this enterprise. First, through carries on the analysis work to this enterprise’s main management activity domain, establishes enterprise’s function area. Analyze each function the business flow, determined that which process each function area is composed of. Distinguish business activities, which in each process encompasses. Then establish the model composed of" Area-Process-Activity ". Analyze the feasibility for computerizing of each business activities, and establish the function model. Manufacture each first-level DFD and second-level DFD of each function area. Classify and standardized the user view, and establish the conceptual data model. Resolve and group the user view, and establish the logical data model. Connect the data model and the function model, and establish the architecture model. Finally, build the top-grade data environment for the enterprise, which faced for the business subject database.
