Application Of Passive Optical Network Technology In Power System

With the rapid development of China’s smart grid, distribution automation of building is becoming more pressing. Because of distribution Automation Distribution possible without communication network, construction of economical and practical safe and reliable power distribution network communication is the key to distribution automation. However, passive optical network with anti-interference ability, high reliability, low cost, higher broadband advantage, becomes one of the most suitable communication network of distribution network.This paper introduces the concept and development of domestic of passive optical networks and distribution automation. This paper analyzes the distribution network automation and intelligent systems and finds their characteristic of different distribution network for communication choices and simply analyzes some different kinds of communication. Combined with the actual situation of the power company of Shuozhou and comparing various communication technologies, a EPON technology is proposed based on the distribution of communication network construction program. The overall program is simple, reliable, economical and suitable for development of the power distribution network company of Shuozhou.Distribution Communication Network based on EPON can effectively improve the reliability of power supply construction area and improves the power supply protection capability. The same time it can reduce dependence on personnel, reduce operation and maintenance work intensity distribution and compression operating costs. With the power supply reliability rate increased, it can also effectively reduce the power troubleshooting, operation and maintenance workload and industrial equipment usage charges. Thus, it can achieve the goal of compression operating costs and improve profitability indirect.
