This paper mainly expounds and discusses how to establish the Shanxiarchitecture information database during Song (Liao) Jin. Throughout thediscussion and the research process, two major problems are to be solved: one ishow to classify the massive building information of cultural relics in the periodof Song (Liao) Jin in Shanxi; the other one is to design and build the databaseframework according to the architectural characteristics in Shanxi during theperiod of Song (Liao) Jin and add the classified and selected information to thedatabase.The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is introductionwhich mainly elaborates the topic origin, research background, objective, andpractical significance, and which emphasizes the necessity of building adatabase of construction technology for the regional architecture in China duringthe Song (Liao) Jin period in Shanxi Province. It’s also the need for theprotection of cultural relics as well as the need of social economic development.Through the development of research methods, research framework, the scopeof the study is explicit, and on this basis,the innovation point of this paper isintroduced. The second chapter starts from the discussion of the value of heritagebuildings, and then related solid examples are given from the historical, artistic,scientific, social and other aspects to exemplify the characteristics and values ofarchitectural heritage in Song (Liao) Jin Dynasty, and hence the list of theexisting historic buildings which should be protected is given accordingly.The third chapter puts forward the selection principles and classificationmethods of historic buildings of Song (Liao) Jin in Shanxi, i.e. according to thescreening authenticity principle, pertinence principle, comprehensive principle,the dynamic principle, the selection and classification of the cultural informationis carried out. Then all the information is classified in accordance with the dataof the architectural heritage ontology, the data of the environmental background,and the research data of the heritage, namely the structure of "Trinity" of theinformation selection. All this provides guidance for the design of database, andprovides authentic and effective data for the final completion of materialdatabase construction.The fourth chapter, based on the characteristics of the cultural relics inSong (Liao) Jin summarized from the second chapter and the informationclassification and format details from the third chapter, the structure andfunction module design is done in combination with the expected functions ofthe database. The key technologies of C#, ASP.net, SQL server, JavaScript APIetc.Are applied to accomplish the construction of the database.The fifth chapter is about the accomplishment of the information collection of the database in combination the data from the third chapter and the networkdata construction in the fourth chapter. The Liu Linxiang Yan Temple is used asan example, and part of the information collection is listed. Meanwhile thefunctions of collection and search are displayed.Through the review of the whole process of research and construction ofthe database, we declare that a heritage building information database is theintegration of heritage buildings and modern information technology, and willbe great help for the future study, protection and utilization of cultural relics. Itis worth the effort to promote it. At the same time, the deficiency is analyzed,and the orientation for improvement in the future is pointed out. The societytoday is the one with rapid development of information technology which isbeing upgraded in one year and changed in three years. While the IOTtechnology, Big data analysis and Virtual reality technology is getting closer andcloser to us, can we apply these new technologies to the protection of theintegration and utilization of the cultural relics? All the above-mentioned formthe conclusion and prospect as the last part.
