A Comparative Research On Library Websites’ Copyright Policies Between The Mainland And Taiwan

At first, This paper introduced the selected topic background and significance, research status at home and abroad, the innovation and research methods. Reasonable copyright policy is one of the effective measures of library copyright protection. The library formulates copyright policy that can state its position on copyright issues and code of conduct for users to use the library online resources, it also can promote the copyright protection knowledge and cultivate the user’s awareness of copyright protection. Through the development of effective policies, it can regulate the rights, responsibilities and obligations between libraries and users. Reasonable copyright policy can keep balance among library, the copyright person and users. It can also promote scientific distribution and effective utilization of information resources in the library. This paper mainly adopts the literature survey method, inductive deductive method, network resources analysis, comparative analysis and other research methods. This paper investigated the library websites of "211" universities on the mainland and national university library website’s in Taiwan. After analyzing the strengths and weaknesses of policies in these policies, we propose some ways to improve copyright policy. We hope that our research can develop copyright policy for the university library to provide some practical reference value.In the second part, we investigated the library websites of "211" universities on the mainland and national university library website’s in Taiwan.
