With the popularity of smartphones and rapid development of internet, kinds of products and services based on mobile payments have emerged, which becomes a means of telecom carriers for the presence in mobile payments. The mobile payments could bring more convenient, efficient and fashionable experience to customers, followed by security issues of mobile payments. In the present, the relatively popular mobile payments in the market are Qrcode payment by Alipay, mobile banking payment, near field communication (NFC) payment, SMS quick payment, etc. However, there are some security problems in all these payments.In order to solve security problems of mobile payments, a new payment scheme is devised which is based on communications between audio port and smartphone. Inside this terminal, the safety storage medium adopts PSAM card security chips with both the computing power of key generation and digital signatures, which could ensure sensitive operation within security module, and prevent sensitive information or damage security factors. This payment terminal could read three types of ATM cards, including magnetic stripe card, contact IC card and non-contact IC card.In the paper, we firstly introduce the status of mobile payment at home and abroad, and the urgent security issues to tackle. Then, design principles of principle modules including hardware, software and security are analyzed. Finally, the test about hardware and software of mobile payment terminal is investigated. According to the test results, it is shown that this mobile payment terminal could successfully read the three types of ATM cards (magnetic stripe card, contact/non-contact IC card), and security payment is achieved. Furthermore, it is emphasized on introducing and analyzing the design of architecture and test of terminal’s hardware in this paper.
