With the rapid development of IT technology, mobile payment is more and more popular among many consumers, there are a variety of mobile payment programmes on cellphone, but they have some limitations: such as iPhone, it has no SD card slot and as the result of special designs of SIM-card slot, it can not achieve the near-field payment."Pocketbook treasure","Kara" and other products, although safe, convenient, they can only support some of mobile phones.In the above background, this paper proposes a new mobile payment solutions, it designs a kind of mobile payment reader based on audio interface, which can read magnetic stripe cards. With it, we can make payments anywhere. This programme is based on investigation and assessment of demand analyses of the market, it multiples the advantages of existing mobile payment solutions, and goes through in-depth studies on the future development trend of existing mobile payment, in order to bring safety, convenience, shortcut for consumers. This programme can bring following benefits:(1) the card reader can not only support the most android/ios system cellphones, but supports both intelligent machines of Windows Mobile/CE,SYBAIN and non-intelligent machines of Kjava;(2) it has magnetic head in it,and it can swipe by magnetic card;(3) it has embedded Security Chip, and has the capabilities of storage and encryption;(4) it supports the bingding of UPCARD,and it can bind ten different magnetic cards,so we can consume without stipe cards;(5) it can achieve balance inquiries, recharge, transfer, credit card payments, and other functions.Firstly this paper discusses works and related communication protocols of the card reader. Secondly it describes the overall designs, including hardware design, software design coding protocols and so on; it highlights working principles between the cellphone and card reader, and principles of card reader which can swipe magnetic card. Then it stressly analyses the application processes of magnetic stripe cards of UPCARD’s binding and the functions of SE. Finally, the simulation results show that the card reader can successfully read the magnetic stripe card information, conduct UPCARD tied to the card. So that it can achieve balance inquiries, recharge function, which proves the feasibility of the program, therefore it can meet the needs of consumers.
