With the rapid development of information technology and the globalization of business,construction and requirement of data room is more and more. At the same time, along with the degree of integration and the improvement of running speed of electronic computer products,the substantial growth of heat flow rate per unit area, data center power consumption and temperature exceed the standard phenomenon occurred frequently, these have become the constraints of the problem of globalization of IT industry development. Therefore under the premise of ensuring system equipment and customer information data safety, how to improve datacenter computer room management level, improve the energy utilization rate and eliminate room overheating problems, is a serious challenge faced by many data centers.This paper is based on the technology and method of data room energy management to study.Firstly, for a particular analysis model, the consistency of transient process analysis and the rationality of simulation method are verified by comparing the transient heat transfer theory and the analysis of Flotherm-CFD simulation.On the basis of transient thermal simulation analysis on an experimental room, the regular of the transient process will be obtained by comparing with the experimental data. This provides the reference for the further research of energy-saving and efficiency evaluation of data room.Moreover, the influence of performance parameters of air conditioning and the change of layout parameters of room on the transient time constant is researched by the simulation of Flotherm-CFD. Then a new evaluation method based on the transient time constant is proposed by the comparison of several energy efficiency evaluation methods combined with some literature, the method has significance of reference to the data room. Finally, development and design of VAV real-time detection module of intelligent thermal management system software platform of data center is done.The adjustment of VAV air-condition, the adjustment of VAV air volume and real-time monitoring of three aspects of VAV power are realized so as to achieve the purpose of energy-saving and intelligent control of room cooling.
