In recent years, with the rapid development of Internet technology such as cloud computing and big data, the scale of Internet Data Center(IDC)has been expanded at a fast pace.At the same time, the energy consumption of Data Center has become a prominent contradiction, and both domestic and foreign Data Center are faced with the challenge of reducing energy consumption and saving the overall cost.China Mobile is also carrying out a work of energy consumption and emission reduction to reduce operational costs.By means of studying and comparing all kinds of uninterruptible power supply, this paper aims to provide China Mobile Data Center guidance for designing energy-saving scheme and selection of the uninterrupted power supply.Regard the uninterruptible power supply of Data Center as the research object, the working principle and structure of four kind of uninterruptible power supply including transformer-based UPS,transformer-less UPS,modular UPS and HVDC are analyzed in this paper. The advantages, disadvantages and energy-saving performance of these four kinds of uninterruptible power supply are compared, and the consumption with no-load loss, power factor, conversion efficiency and calorific value are verified through load tests.Test results show that, comparing with other UPS,HVDC is the best one in energy-saving aspect while transformer-based UPS is the worst one. Finally, from the equipment selection, operation and management aspects of the following uninterruptible power supply energy-saving programs:1)HVDC is preferred as the uninterruptible power supply Data Center2)Abandon using the transformer-based UPS3)Modular UPS and HVDC power supply are preferred when Low load4)No-load loss for uninterruptible power supply should not be ignored. The power supply should be turned off in time when no-load.
