Customer account management is one of the most important things in a bank. Well-management on customer account would help on avoiding create high risk account and messy account. And also be helpful to improve the bank risk control and prevent Anti-Money Laundering, etc. It’s also important for financial regulator to execute regulation responsibility. At present, all banks have its own account management system which has low automation degree and low risk control. The management ability of regulator cannot be well performed from below three perspectives. The first is account related information not completed. Secondly, account information reporting lag behind. Thirdly, the existing account information cannot be used effectively. Most of foreign Banks have branches and subsidiaries branches in different countries and regions. Due to different strategy and investment, they might use different system in different regions. Some of them even still manual work on operation and approval related procedures. It not only makes the work inefficient, but also causes the high error rate. And it’s also very difficult to restore and well-organized those customer files. Those files require large space in the storage room to keep and cost a lot of time to annual review. Besides, the procedure of request and approval on document retrieval is very complicated and need customer to wait for a long leading time to get response which makes the customer’s satisfaction decrees quite a lot. The consequence is some banks lose the profit and market competition.Considering above problems in customer account management in bank industry, I did a lot of work on analysis on account management automation and systematic which is much meaningful to standardize the process of account opening, account maintenance and account closure. And it will make work more efficient and reduce customer waiting time. I organized the meeting with business user and gather the requirement from them and did detailed feasibility assessment on it from technical and business perspectives. Then work out the system framework by designing the technology framework, network framework, database, role matrix, and system security, etc. A solution developed based on Microsoft Office SharePoint 2007 is proposed by including four business modules, the account opening module, account maintenance module, account closure module and account document retrieval module; and one system management module for parameter and user matrix maintenance. User interface is designed in a very friendly way by using web front end technology. And QR code plays an essential role in customer document management.It would resolve the system integration and productivity issue which make bank industry suffered for a while. Business automation reduced the customer’s waiting time on account opening, maintenance and closure which make customer more satisfied.
