Design And Implementation Of Handheld Educational Information System

Educational information system is one of the core systems for teaching management in collages and universities. most of the current educational systems are web-based applications, Students can log in educational system and get learning information and course selection via a PC. With the rapid development of mobile internet, and the huge popularity of smartphones, developing a handheld educational APP is an urgent need. It can greatly improve the convenience of educational information system. The main content of this project is to design and realize a handheld educational information system based on the Android operating system for a university.Firstly, this paper introduces the development background and significance of the handheld educational information system, as well as the related knowledge and technology. Secondly, according to the software requirements hierarchy, analyses the needs of the system. Then, it gives the overall design, including the system structure, the division of function modules, information query module, course selection module, pushed module and service module. Finally, the paper introduces the detail design and implementation of the system.The designed and implemented handheld educational imformation system can not only facilitate students to query information anytime and anywhere, but also provide the personalized information push, and the function of mobile terminal course selection. The system also use Redis in-memory database, which can greatly improve the efficiency of the system. The design and development method of handheld educational information system based on Android has a certain reference value on other mobile platform applications.
