Colloidal gold Immunochromatographic technique is a rapid detection technology developed in 1990 s.It has become one of the most quickly, easily and sensitively immunoassay technique, because of its advantages of specificity and sensitivity, simple and quick operation, low cost and others. Especially suitable for time-critical large-area survey, hospitals, establishments and individuals. Test sample with colloidal gold-labeled strip now, mainly through visual qualitative and semi-quantitative analysis stage, which is greatly restricted its application and promotion. Study on quantitative detection instruments for testing sample is very important.The main biochemical analyzer on the market are mostly of the large volume, high cost and not easy to carry. While a number of portable colloidal gold test strip analyzers has appeared abroad in recent years, and portable detection system solutions based on the embeded subjects such as high-speed microcontroller, FPGA, ARM and others have been proposed at home. But they are overly dependent on hardware, and rapid replacement of hardware making them not guaranteed for long-term production and not popularity.With the shortcomings such as inadequate for the convenience and popularity, a instrument based on Android for quantitative testing colloidal-gold strip is designed and developed in the paper. Hardware platform is built with the Android smartphone witch is popular in everyday life and self-made shell, witch can ensure the volume is small and handheld convenient.The self-made shell is the image acquisition system shell drawn by CAD software and printed with 3D printing technique. And using the phone’s own CMOS camera with macro lens to capture images can narrow the exterior space witch can reduce the volume.The software in the instrument combines Android and Open CV, and uses image processing technique to process and analyze the strip image. Segment the image to extract characteristic value, then compute it and obtain the relationship function between the characteristic value and concentration. Android is responsible for person-machine interaction interface to make the instrument interface simple and beautiful.Open CV is responsible for image processing, and improving the image processing efficiency with C\C++ language programming.Then, witch experimental calibration, the right relationship function between eigenvalues and concentration is found, witch improves the stability of the instrument software system.Finally, testing the instrument with human chorionic gonadotropin test strip.Results show that the instrument can be used for quantitative analysis of colloidal-gold strip, and has good results.
