Research And Design On Configuration Management System

With the fast development of Information Technology, the concept of transboundary have deeply rooted in the masses by the arrival of the era of ’the Internet +’,which makes the competition more intense. Banks and other financial institutions are increasingly dependent on information technology to support to their business. So the data center, as the IT infrastructure continue become complexity, the number of hardware and applications system dramatic increased and the requirement to business system continuity and quality running are higher, is becoming larger and more complex. How to maintain the data center’s secure running becomes more and more difficult. Therefore, the study for the management of the data center is particularly important and necessary.However, the management level of the bank’s data center, especially the management means, compared with the ideal and there is a big gap. Hundreds of sets of application system and lots of equipment, big to the server, network equipment, electric power, temperature control, storage, database, small to entrance guard, frame, cables, labels, all of them need to be under surveillance. In the modern data center development goals of visualization, quantifiable, intelligence, automation of, we must first exactly find out what the system are running, which devices in work and what’s the relationship between them. Therefore, to build a CMDB configuration management system based on an IT infrastructure is particularly important.The goal of this article is to design a set of IT infrastructure based on the data center’s CMDB configuration management system, which can clearly display the IT infrastructure’s information and their relationship. We first study of the theoretical basis of configuration management, discusses the construction of CMDB technical feasibility, then according to the construction goal, design a CMDB system framework with the functions of safety control, data model management, data federation management. With the help of this system, we can monitor and maintain the existing resources, guide the daily operations and improve the management level of the data center.
