Laser radar is a typical system integrating optics, mechanics and electronics, which is used to measure the distance and orientation of the target. With wide application of the laser radar, higher demand has been put forward to its structure, which means that laser radar should not only have good tracking capability, but also the miniaturization of the whole structure.In order to adapt to this demand, a compact laser radar structure is designed in this thesis. The structure scheme of tracking and scanning is adopted and the turntable load weight and moment inertia is reduced through the use of laser light transmission system so as to achieve the miniaturization of structure. The finite element analysis of this design is also done to ensure the structure adapt to the condition of the environment.The precision of angle measurement is an important parameter of the laser radar, while the structure errors is a primary causation. The cause of structure errors and its influence on angle measurement are studied in this thesis, including the error of the laser light transmission system in particular. Based on this theory, a method to assemble and regulate the laser radar is designed to ensure the precision of the equipment meet the design requirements.
