A receiver plays a important role in radars systems,which transfers reflecting or scattering signals from object into intermediate frequency,and keeps reflecting signals to have enough information with restraining external interference and clutter and internal noise.For radars receiver having better selection and high dynamic range,superheterodyne receiver is usually used,which uses devices such as filter,amplifier,mixer,demodulator and digitizer.More and more request is raised to receiver by modern radars.both low noise,high dynamic range and high stability are required,also miniaturization,low power dissipation and modularization are required.For satisfying miniaturization request of receiver,an C-band smaller receiver is made in this thesis.Based on superheterodyne technology,current devices and level of processing,it is designed.In future the miniaturization well be the subject which receiver won't ignore in the development,also well be the target which the receiver designer well want to meet.In this thesis a small step is took in development of small receiver,but it is valuable to the performance improvement of current radar receiver.The issue contains the following content:1.First the whole designing of the C-band radar receiver is made.Second the particular constitution in the application is given.Third several main parameters are calculated.Four it is focused on EMC and configuration.The LNA is designed in the end.2.The design of the receiving module is introduced,which includes digital attenuator and RF receiver front-end and IF limiting amplifier.Based on theoretical analysis and result of calculating parameters,the way of hardware realization is given.3.The design of the frequency source is introduced,while several methods of making frequency source are compared.Each department of the frequency source is designed particularly.4.The RF receiver front-end and the frequency source and the whole receiver all are tested.The result is analysed simply.5.In conclusion,the disadvantages are analysed and the further improvements are discussed in this issue.All parameters of the C-band radar receiver meet the demands.It has been used inradar.The disadvantages will be found in use for the further improvements.
