In recent years, with the development of domestic antenna technology, millimeter wave antenna is playing an increasingly important role in the filed of nationgal defense. Beam waveguide has characteristics such as low loss, wide band and easy maintenance, and has been used for guiding millimeter wave widely. The research on it is very important. Base on the background of the execution of a millimeter-wave beam waveguide antenna on vehicle, the research focusing on the design, simulation, testing of the structure system is carried out. The actual test results show that the antenna system has a good reflector, axial and beam transmission precision, fully meet the requirements of the system performance.The thesis is summarized as follows:Firstly, the basic theory of propagation of beam waveguide antenna are briefly introduced in the paper, based on the analysis and research of the composition of antenna system, the reflector, pedestal, carrying car and beam transmission system of beam waveguide antenna are described explicitly in turn. Based on the system structural proposal, reliability design, safety design, maintainability design,and surface-proofing design require are analyzed in this paper, and the concrete engineering designs of structure system are explained in detail.Secondly, the key indicators including main-reflector precision, axial system accuracy and vehicle strength are analyzed and calculated explicitly. The structural mechanics of the antenna reflector is analyzed and calculated by FEA method. The model of FEA, load cases analysis and result of calculation are researched in the paper. Mechanics analysis offers the basis of design development for the same kind antenna.Finally, through the on-site testing of antenna system, the indicators fully meet the technical requirements, especially the electrical design performance indicators all achieve the expected,and it also proves that the design of beam transmission is correct.The design of structure system of beam waveguide antenna is summarized in this paper, and the main structural features of the special type of antenna structure system are introduced, and provides the technical basis for the development of some related antenna.
