The essence of the New Media Events is "Contentious Conversation". The endless stream of New Media Events are full of civil discourse with vivid expressions. However, the political and contentious factors behind the discursive expression are often ignored. In the perspective of the civilian, with the core concept of "Discursive Contention", the full paper will conduct an in-depth analysis of discursive contention in the New Media Events from the aspects of structure, technologies, the structure of feeling to the culture by using literature research method, case study and multi-sited ethnography, which is aimed at presenting the daily contentious picture of civil discourse. The paper believed that, the phenomenon of discursive contention is not only caused by the group’s irrational psychological mechanism, but also the social structure, state power, market power, social feelings, contentious culture and ICT. Under the condition of that public opinion expression channel is single and limited, people will choose effective contentious repertoires and combination strategy, fully mobilize their own emotional and moral resources and take the discursive practice in the virtual space of new media. On the one hand, the production and communication of contentious discourse can affect the occurrence and development of the New Media Events, at the same time, cause the constant impact on the discourse pattern of monologue form. On the other hand, the majority of civil will create contentious discourse which contains strong criticism of China society. They are actively constructing a space called "Discursive Heterotopia", to express a kind of impulse to imagine that ideal society will take place of real society. It will promote the development of democratic politics and the change of social structure.
