The arbitrary waveform power whose frequency, amplitude and waveform can be controlled is the very important instrument and equipment in many areas such as the modern communication, electronic, control and automation. To a certain extent, it determines the overall performance of the system.According to the situation of need of frequency and amplitude and waveform controlled and high power, using the basic principle of technology of direct digital frequency synthesis and arbitrary waveform signal generator and power amplifier, following the modular design thought, a numerical power whose output wave controlled is designed.This design mainly consists of two parts, that is arbitrary waveform generator and power amplifier, specific including the arbitrary waveform signal generator unit, class D power amplifier unit, A/D conversion unit, human-computer interaction unit and so on. The arbitrary wave generator adopts AD9854 and peripheral integral circuit and outputs sine wave, square wave, triangle wave and sawtooth wave. This paper elaborates the basic principle of class D amplifier and modulation mode in detail, and completes the class D power amplifier unit based on IRS2092 chip. It completes the system application development by using Keil C51 compile integrated development environment and C language modular programming way, specific including system main program, the DDS signal subprogram, human-computer interaction subprogram and A/D conversion subprogram and so on.The experimental data indicates that a controllable output waveform and high precision numerical control power supply can output many waves such as sine wave, square wave, triangle wave and sawtooth wave of frequency ranged from 0 to 50 k Hz and voltage ranged from-40 V to +40V and the maximum output power up to 350 W, which has wide frequency range, high frequency stability and low phase noise.
