Microwave Photonic Filter is an important instrument to realize microwave signal processing by photonics.It breaks through the electronic bottleneck of traditional microwave filter and modulates the microwave signal on the optical carrier,Complete the filter,with low loss,high working bandwidth,anti-electromagnetic interference ability,good design flexibility and so on.The production of optical frequency combs in Microwave photonics filter needs electrical frequency comb,the Arbitrary Waveform Generator hardware platform designed in this paper is used to generate the frequency comb to provide the IQ modulator.AWG is a multi-purpose signal source with high integration and high technical difficulty.In this paper,the hardware design of AWG module is researched with the background of research and development of microwave photonics filter.In this paper,we first study the advantages and disadvantages of DDWS(Direct Digital Waveform Synthesis)and DDFS(Direct Digital Frequency Synthesis),and combine the project requirements to determine the DDFS technology Implement AWG module.And then study the design of the FPGA + DAC + DDR3 circuit program,according to the laboratory hardware conditions,using the FPGA motherboard plus DAC daughter board hardware structure.DAC board to AD9739 digital-analog conversion chip as the core,the design of the ADF4351 clock generation circuit,DAC sampling synchronization circuit,DAC output interface circuit.According to the transmission line theory,with SIwave,HFSS completed the signal integrity and power integrity of the simulation,and in accordance with the simulation results on the design to improve.The ADF4351 and AD9739 are configured by Verilog hardware description language programming,and the timing diagram is obtained by Modelsim simulation.Finally,thePCB power debugging,verify the correctness of the configuration code.
