In recent years, with the rapid development of embedded technology, information and communication technology,video image processing technology and tourism industry,and with and the increase of tourists experience demand, the tourist vehicles monitoring system become an integral part of the field of intelligent transportation.This paper proposed a scheme of the tourism vehicle monitoring system based on embedded through Analysis of the present situation of the embedded video transmission system and embedded technology. A new tourism vehicle monitoring terminal,realizing vehicle monitoring and real-time monitoring on the ARM-Linux embedded platform center on S3C6410, is designed.This paper firstly introduces the design principle and the goal of the wireless transmission system. finally,the system overall design scheme is given by analyzing its functional requirements. It respectively describes the design of software and hardware of the vehicle terminal monitoring system.The system hardware parts, beginning in the study, in order to achieve the optimal design of the system, The hardware design mainly completed the choice and the building of the system of hardware platform, including overall framework, camera, 3G and so on.The software design contains the operating system and the user application software. The former elaborates the construction of the embedded Linux development environment and the transportation of the related drivers. The latter achieve the collection of video, video coding, RTP packaging and send data, and realize Video capture and encoding Synchronization through Linux multithreaded synchronization. The Tourist vehicle monitoring terminal complete camera video data collection with the help of the V4L2 application program interface(API), And use H.264 video codec standard for data compression and RTP packets, and then Through the 3 G network communication. The last, The remote monitoring center in real time receiving and decoding play.After testing, the hardware and software system is stable, the monitor screen is smooth, and has basically achieved the desired design goals. Finally, the paper points out the shortcomings of the existing system, and gives some suggestions for improvement.
