In radar signal detection processing, how to match the time-variant clutter model and how to establish robust adaptive detection in complex environment existing clutter edge and multiple targets have always been the two key technologies of CFAR processing. Sea clutter is such a complex interference environment, so the research topic of this thesis is putted forward. In this thesis, based on the research of the method of clutter model identification and constant false alarm rate detection, a method of multi-model intelligent CFAR processing is established.Firstly, sea clutter distribution model and the current status of CFAR detector at home and abroad are analyzed in this thesis, then an improved multi-class clutter distribution detection method based on probability density transform detection is used. The method can be used to solve sea clutter processing problem caused by sea clutter distribution deviating from actual clutter distribution model.Secondly, this thesis analyzes the principle, selection principle and application properties of the classical mean class and order statistics class CFAR detectors, then an intelligent CFAR (INT-CFAR) design method is putted forward. The key technology of INT-CFAR is comparing the amplitude information of detection cell, protect cells and the sliding window reference cells, thus to determine the goal of detection cell is in homogeneous or inhomogeneous clutter background, and then to choose the suitable CFAR algorithm to calculate the adaptive threshold. The thesis analyzes the INT-CFAR detection performance at multiple targets, rapidly changing clutter edge and slowly changing clutter edge in Matlab simulation environment.Finally, the radar image display software was designed in the Visual C++ environment, and the radar image display effect using sea clutter processing was given by using the hybrid programming technology of the identification of sea clutter distribution model in Matlab and the intelligent CFAR in Visual C++. The CFAR algorithms are optimized, and the different CFAR processing run-times are also analyzed in this thesis.The research in the thesis was in the support of "The branch project of Zhicheng bridge station and Badong station of Yichang vessel traffic management system(contract label:2010Z942) ".
