PD radar is a kind of advanced pulse radar which using coherent processing. It provides an active field for development of the signal processing techniques. This dissertation is based on the Aeronuatical Foundation"Researching expert system of CFAR based on clutter tracking". In this dissertation several key problems about signal processing for PD radar have been studied. The main content includes: Clutter tracking technique, CFAR detector based on clutter tracking and expert system.At the beginning of this dissertation, the origin and development of PD radar technique are reviewed; the automatic radar detection and CFAR processing methods are summoarized; the clutter analysis on airborne PD radar, the spectrum of ground clutter, clutter models and the statistical features of clutter are introduced, followed by the main purpose and the main contents of this dissertation.Next, the clutter tracking technique based on image segmentation is proposed. We apply integrate two methods, singularity detection and processing with wavelet and region growing, for tracking the main lobe and the side lobe on PD radar's clutter. Some discussions of this algorithm are shown.In the third part, we focus on researching CFAR detection based on clutter tracking. A novel detector—CF-CFAR and its performance are introduced., Theorical analysis is given to test and verify the availability of this detector and Monte Carlo simulation method is used to weigh the accuracy of theorical analysis.In the fourth part, ES(expert system) are introduced, and some ideas of knowledge base and control structure are discussed.Finally, the research results are concluded.
