As a DC power supply to produce the Pulsed High Magnetic Field,the pulsed generator power supply system is the important part of the Pulsed High Magnetic Field Facility. For constructing of Pulsed High Magnetic Field Facility, it is quite necessary and important to study the structure of the pulsed generator power supply, propose the way of design, built the model. The purpose of this paper is to study, design and simulate the pulsed generator power supply system. The following are the main contributions of this paper:The development of the pulsed generator power supply system is introduced briefly, and the structure of the power supply system is analyzed. The main data of the power supply system is presented for the demand of the pulsed magnet. The doubly-fed machine adjustable speed drive system is studied to achieve the rated speed. A VAPID method is proposed to improve the control performance of the excitation system and the rectifier. The structure of the rectifier transformers, the rectifier and the accessory equipment are established. The structure of the control system is designed briefly and a real-time multitask system is proposed.SIMULINK, the tool of the modeling and simulation is studied, and the characteristics of the pulsed generator and the pulsed magnet are analyzed. The model of pulsed generator, the excitation system the pulsed rectifier, the pulsed magnet and the control cell are built.The single coil magnet, the double coils magnet, the stepped pulse, and the double coils magnet powered by the pulsed generator and the capacitors, are simulated and analyzed, which are important and helpful to the construction of the pulsed generator power supply.
