The decade from 1900 to 1910 witnessed the first climax of Chinese students studying in Japan.During this period, the magazines founded by Chinese students are up to 89 kinds, which cover a lot of precious historical materials, for example, publishing advertising, offering pamphlets, provincial Investigation records. Therefore they have a wide significance to the cultural and publishing history. But there is not much research about the magazines lacks in in-depth, systematic analysis and exhaustive data collection which all require further research.This study first analyzed the historical background and came to a conclusion that compared to Japan, the start of Chinese modern magazine trailed by 30 years.Secondly, tried to restore the original appearance of the magazine group. Used Sino-Japanese major libraries and databases, found 23 kinds out of the 89 kinds of magazines. Then made the general catalog, articles catalog, advertising catalog, the information of distribution and other basic information of each kind of magazine. On the basis of this basic information, verified the system of magazine, editors groups; outline the structure of the magazine, the overview of the articles; summarized the characteristics of the magazine and the significance in the history of Chinese magazine.Thirdly, ascertained the influence from Japan in terms of content. Screened the 564 kinds of separates according to information of translator and author and leaded to the conclusion that the separates which are translated from Japanese books accounted for 49.3 percent. Then classified these separates by content and concluded that Law-related and education-related separates are the most.And checked with the "Chinese Translation of Japanese Calligraphy Comprehensive Catalog "one by one and found that 104 kinds,such as"the spirit of science education ladder Yang Ming".etc. are which are not included in it.Finally, ascertained the influence from Japan in terms of form. By arranging the copyright page in Sino-Japanese magazines, found that Chinese magazines were printed by Japanese printing companies. Part of magazines’printing companies were the same as the Japanese mainstream magazines. According to this background, compared Chinese magazines with 8 kinds of Japanese magazines, such as "Philosophical Magazine".etc. in terms of binding mode, structure, magazine name, font. And found that Chinese magazines which were started by Chinese students were deeply influenced by Japan.
