Nobody can deny Japan's powerful influence on China as an old neighbor. Japan is a big country for mass media in the world. Mass media is playing a very important role in Japan's domestic politics and diplomatic decision-making. Since normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan more than 30 years ago, mass media of Japan has been playing all important role all the time in the relations between two countries. Research on media in Japan is important to understand the views of the mainstream media and mainstream society towards China, further, is of great significance to harmony peaceful development of Sino-Japan's relationship. It is an interesting point of view to find out Japanese society and Sino-Japan relationship through media in Japan.This paper takes People's Daily and Asahi Newspaper as the objects and their reports on China's top leaders' visit to Japan including Deng's visit in 1978,Jiang's visit in 1998 and Hu's visit in 2008 as samples, based on frame theory, to carry on content and discourse analysis. By comparing the reports on the same topic in different time of these two newspapers to find weather there are any differences, to explain these differences from the view of media system, political power and national mood, and to indicate the interaction between media, mass and government.
