Analysis Of The Environmental NGO’s Reports Based On The Frame Theory

Accompanied by the economic development,environmental problems appear more and more obvious in China. In addition to the consciousness of the enterprise and the treatment of the government,the guide of the public opinion from medium and environmental NGO are also important in the environmental monitoring. As folk monitors,medium and environmental NGO represent the folk voice.The paper discuss how medias report environmental NGO,whether the environmental NGO’s reports change over time,how the categories of framework of the environmental NGO’s reports relate to each other and what causes the change of environmental NGO’s reports. All of the studies are based on the frame theory.In this article,the author will take the environmental NGO’s reports from <Southern Weekend> for example and analyze the research questions with literature research,content analysis and text analysis. Through the quantitative analysis of Southern Weekend’s reports with content analysis, the paper will found how the constructing topics, discourse construction, meaning construction of environmental NGO’s reports change over time. Then the paper will study from the high-level structure, the middle-level structure and the low-level structure of the framework using the text analysis for supplementary of the content analysis.The paper found it that the environmental NGO’s reports change significantly in news framework, environmental propagation field, environmental topics range, the evaluation of environmental NGO, language skill and the environmental NGO’s image and that the environmental NGO have characteristics in defining theme, news content and language symbols. The author divides the relationship of medium and the environmental NGO into three stages and gives explanation all based on the full text analysis. In the end, the paper puts forward to the hope for the environmental NGO and forecasts the key areas of the environmental NGO’s reports in future.
